At Hale and Hearty Soups, we believe soup makes everything better. That's why we make our soups 100% from scratch in our Brooklyn kitchen, with homemade stock and locally sourced ingredients. We believe in making soup that's not only delicious, but creates a moment of comfort in the day — it's to be savored.

Our soups are prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and are all Kosher OU certified, Halal and dairy free. All soups are available in 6.9-pound bags, 2 bags in a case, as well as in 32 oz or 16 oz individual cups. Our QC certifications include Food Safety HACCP for Retail Food Establishments, Seafood HACCP Alliance Certificate, NFS Certification and coming soon, SQF Certification.

Chef Martin Levin


Executive Chef Marty Levin is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America with years of expertise acquired in some of New York's most distinguished kitchens.
Chef Marty is the Vice President of Food Service and Executive Chef for Main Event Mauzone Caterers and has been with the company since 2001. His responsibilities include Food Production Management, Menu Planning, Marketing, Catering Sales, Party Planning and manages over 8000 meals a day in five kitchens.
Chef Marty has been in the food service industry since 1982 and has certifications in “serve safe” management, food handler and allergens from the NYC Deptartment of Health as well as FSPCA( Food Service Preventive Controls Alliance), HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point Program), NYC Department of Health Qualifying Certificate In Food Protection, ServSafe - Food Handler Certificate and ServSafe Allergens Certificate.

David Itzkowitz


David has been building the Mauzone brand since childhood under the direction of his father, Phil Itzkowitz. David has inherited Phil’s high standards of quality and ethics, along with his compassionate nature, which permeates throughout the entire company. David’s experience has spanned decades and proven to be the glue that holds every aspect of the company together. His food knowledge is great and his business acumen greater.
David’s commitment to Mauzone, its employees and its customers starts as early as 3:30 AM and lasts sometimes until late into the night. David is a hands on CEO who sets an example for all to follow with no job too petty and no project too large for his team to handle with his support wherever it’s needed.

Elysa Dinzes


Elysa Dinzes, MPA, RDN, CLT, is Gotham City Meals NYC's expert nutrition advisor. She provides consultation on compliance, food safety, efficiency, nutrition analysis, and menu planning.
As an authority in the field of nutrition and food policy for almost 2 decades, Elysa has worked with individual clients, food companies, government institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. Elysa's holistic approach combines her industry knowledge with her passion for eating delicious food.
Elysa is a Registered Dietitian and Certified LEAP Therapist. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Syracuse University. She later went on to complete her Master's in Public Administration from Baruch College.
